Noel Deasy Coachford Classic
On Sunday last our club riders travelled across the County Bounds for the Noel Deasy Classic we had underage riders in the U12 and U14 categories racing. Aona O’Shea was 2nd in the U12 and Tiarnach and Tadhg O’Shea took part in the U14 race Tadhg had a solid day on the road finishing 7th.
Our Seniors were in action also on the day over laps of the 16km circuit. In the A4 race Bernard Sweeney had a great days racing finishing in the first group home.
In the A2 A3 combined race we had Peter Clendennen Edward Casey Flor O’Mahony Mike O’Shea and Brendan O’Sullivan riding in the club colours. They covered 6 laps of the course racing intensified from the 2nd lap with the Killorglin lads riding to the fore of the bunch all day, riders of the day for the club were Peter Clendennen and Edward Casey both having a brilliant days racing with both riders really coming into form of late.
Our Leisure Riders were out in force on Sunday morning they departed from Miltown at 7.45am and headed for Lispole our club spins this week will be at 7pm from PK’s SuperValu on Tuesday and Thursday. Next weekend a large contingent of our leisure riders are heading to West for the Tour of Conamara on Saturday morning.
This week our newly upgraded rider Micheal O’Shea is riding this week in the An Post Ras for the Nenagh team which will be passing through his hometown of Milltown on Wednesday and onto Killorglin in or around midday please come along and show your support.
