The sixteenth Tour De Munster took place between the 4th & 7th of Aug 2016. 100 amateur cyclists cycled over 600km around the six counties of Munster, raising funds for the Munster branches of Down Syndrome Ireland .
The route was as follows:
Stage 1 (Thur Aug 4th) Waterford, Carrick-On-Suir, Clonmel, Cahir, Tipperary, Limerick, Birdhill, Killaloe.
Stage 2 (Fri Aug 5th) Killaloe, Tuamgraney, Ennis, Kilrush, Tarbert, Listowel, Tralee.
Stage 3 (Sat Aug 6th) Tralee, Conor Pass, Dingle, Annascaul, Castlemaine, Milltown, Killarney, Kenmare.
Stage 4 (Sun Aug 7th) Kenmare, Caha Pass, Glengarriff, Ballylickey, Gouganebarra, Ballingeary, Inchigeela, Macroom, Cork.
It was Alans 3rd Tour de Munster. Alan funded his own accommodation and expenses so all monies raised will go straight to the charity.
